Mo Salah ‘could leave’ Liverpool – Report

Mo Salah 'could leave' Liverpool

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Express, Emile Heskey believes Liverpool could lose Mo Salah if they fail to get a promotion.

The former Liverpool striker who was once Liverpool’s £11million record signing, exclusively told Express Sport that Egyptian talisman Salah could leave the club if they fail to win major silverware this season.

“There’s always that risk [of players wanting to leave],” Heskey said when asked about Salah after completing the fifth annual Cancer Research UK London Winter Run.

The Ex-England man, who featured 62 times for his country, thinks that although Salah may be tempted to seek pastures new in order to win a major competition, a big factor in keeping him at Anfield would be their passionate support.

“The relationship between the players and the Liverpool fans is such that they always want to give the league another go,” Heskey claimed.

“I’m not saying that they [Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane] wouldn’t go, but there is plenty of reason for them to stay.”

Liverpool travel to London on the back of a second-rate home draw with Leicester, however, Heskey is positive that his former side will bounce back to claim all three points.
