Luka Modric is “Seriously considering” leaving Real Madrid this summer amid rumours he is wanted by Inter Milan.
According to Calciomercato's Fabrizio Romano, the Croatian is set to meet with Real president Florentino Perez next week after returning to Madrid on Sunday, where it's likely he'll inform Perez of his “Desire to leave.”
Inter have been in touch regarding Modric, though it has been said that Perez will be “Very tough to convince.”
It's to be expected that Perez would be disinclined to part with another key player this summer, given that the talismanic Cristiano Ronaldo has already left. Modric is crucial to Los Blancos' play in midfield.
Perez may just be pointing to it to put off prospective suitors, but even if he is privately prepared to field more realistic offers, he will still want a huge fee for the FIFA Golden Ball award winner.
Real cannot really afford to lose their two most vital players in one transfer window, so it is very not likely a move to Inter will materialize.
