Heung-min Son is in line for a surprise start for Tottenham in tomorrow’s Premier League fixture at Manchester United, that's according to Express Sports.
The South Korean was forced off at half-time in the controversial 1-1 draw with Newcastle in north London but now he could return to action sooner than expected.
After Son was forced off six days ago, Mourinho hinted that the 28-year-old could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
When asked if the substitution was planned or an injury, Mourinho said: “Injured.”
He was then asked whether the winger will be out for a long time, to which he bluntly responded: “Yes.”
And now The Guardian are saying Son is now in line to start on the left side of Tottenham's front three.
It would be a major boost for Mourinho as he prepares to take his Spurs side back to his former stomping ground.
He refused to confirm whether Son will be fit for the occasion during his press conference.
“I don’t want to lie to you and say he doesn’t play and Sunday he’s there,” he said.

“At the same time I don’t want to say he plays and then he doesn’t. So let’s wait and see, in this moment, I honestly don’t know.”
