Jose Mourinho wants Portuguese duo Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias to become his first signings as Tottenham manager.
Mourinho desperately wants to inject a fresh impetus into his squad and has reportedly identified the pair as principal targets, either in January or the summer window.
The Portuguese coach has told super-agent, Jorge Mendes, to keep him in the loop regarding the futures of the pair, according to 90min.
The manager is aware other clubs are interested in securing the pair’s services and therefore wants to be kept up to date so he has the chance to bring them to north London.
Both players are said to be on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s list of targets for Manchester United and it would come as a major blow if Mourinho was to pip his former club to the signings.
Dias is of interest amid the ongoing uncertainty over the future of centre-back pairing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, who are both out of contract next summer.
Fernandes, meanwhile, was heavily linked with a move away from Sporting Lisbon throughout the summer but a deal never materialised.
The box-to-box midfielder could be a direct replacement for Christian Eriksen, who is also said to be contemplating a move away from Tottenham when his contract expires at the end of this season.
