Manchester City defender, Nathan Ake has left the Dutch National Team camp on Monday, the Netherlands have confirmed.
As a result of his exit from camp, the 26-year old will no longer be available for the remainder of Holland’s World Cup qualifying matches in Group G.
In an official statement released by the Netherlands, Ake’s exit from camp is due to private circumstances.
“Nathan Ake has, in consultation with the national team coach, Louis Van Gaal, decided to leave the training camp due to private circumstances.”
The former Crystal Palace defender is expected to return to Manchester ahead of his club’s Premier League clash with Leicester City but given the circumstances that surround his exit, his availability for the Leicester class remains up in the air.
Meanwhile, Van Gaal’s Dutch side are turned their attentions to hosting Turkey, with the hope of usurping their opponents in the top spot should they win the tie.
