UPDATED:

The Nigeria vs Guinea game has ended in a 1-0 win to the Super Eagles as they become to the first team to qualify for the AFCON 2019 round of 16.

Kenneth Omeruo scored in the 73rd minute as he headed home a cross from Moses Simon’s corner kick to give Nigeria maximum points in Group B.

The Super Eagles dished out some rough treatment for Naby Keita in an effort to silence their most dangerous opponent.

With the Eagles now through to the knockout stage, there’s every chance Gernot Rohr will rest his star players and if those who come in aren’t on top of their game, you wouldn’t put it past Madagascar pulling off another shock. If that happens, nothing Guinea does against Burundi will matter.
