Guardiola Has THREE Names On Transfer Wish List To Replace Fernandinho

Argentina to appoint Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as new coach

Pep Guardiola has identified the area in Man City he wants to strengthen, including the targets who could come in and fit the club’s style and direction.

Real Madrid’s Marcos Llorente, Tanguy Ndombele of Lyon and Rodri of Atletico Madrid make up the list of three potential midfield arrivals at the Etihad this summer, that's what Sky Sports News is reporting.

The boss is said to be searching for a suitable replacement for the ageing Fernandinho.

Fernandinho will continue his time at the Etihad, but it appears Guardiola is looking for a fitting heir to the Brazilian, whose role in the team is important to the way City play.

City's targets all have similar but unique qualities to offer the club. Atletico Madrid's Rodri’s ability on the ball and reading of the game make him the ideal target for City, and his 6”3 presence infers he’ll be a match for the most physical in the Premier League as well.

Ndombele is a dominant figure himself and plays with a bit more drive and energy than Rodri, though his role is predominantly to win the ball back for his side and impose himself on the opposition midfield when out of possession.

Llorente is the third and final target being looked at by Guardiola, and the Spaniard could be the easiest of the three to lock down, and perhaps the cheapest too.

The 24-year old is not a regular in the Madrid side but has made his fair share of appearances for the club.
