Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Set To Leave Arsenal

Arsenal hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is keeping his options open regarding a potential move away, according to reports.

The Gunners are a team in crisis at present with manager Unai Emery facing fresh calls to be sacked after witnessing his side’s pursuit of Champions League football hit another stumbling block.

And, to compound matters, Goal.com claim Aubameyang is keeping his options open regarding a move away.

The Gabon international has been a huge hit at the Emirates Stadium ever since touching down from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

The report says Arsenal have been trying to get Aubameyang to sign a new contract.

But the Arsenal star wants to play in the Champions League and, with the north Londoners currently on course to strut their stuff in the Europa League next term, Aubameyang’s refusing to sign on the dotted line.

Meanwhile, Emery has hinted that the Gabon international could replace Granit Xhaka as skipper.

Xhaka’s future at captain is up in the air after his temper tantrum against Crystal Palace last weekend.

The former Dortmund star was in contention for the role at the start of the season.

And Emery has confirmed the Arsenal star could take the role now, saying after the Wolves draw: “It could be.”
