Pochettino Intervenes In Messi, Mbappe And Neymar Transfers

Lionel Messi's Barcelona contract is up this summer while both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe could be on the move if Paris Saint-Germain are unable to get their star duo to sign new contracts.

But Mauricio Pochettino says he is “optimistic” their star duo will both sign new contracts to stay at the French club.

“The objective is to keep the best players,” the former Tottenham boss told Cadena Ser. “The club wants to win the Champions League and the objective of this club is to keep Neymar and Kylian for many years.

“For three months we have had a very good relationship. Both players are very committed to the club. Every team wants to have them in their ranks. I am optimistic that they will stay.

“After sharing a changing room with Kylian for three months, I will fight with all my might to keep him with us.”

Neymar appears closer to extending his contract.

The situation of Mbappe appears a little more unstable, with interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool unsettling the World Cup winner.
