Antonio Conte has said that he will prefer replacing Jose Mourinho at Manchester United rather than take a position in the dugout at Real Madrid.
The Italian has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in July, but Conte continues to be linked with two of the biggest roles in world football.
Conte was deemed to be the favourite to replace Julen Lopetegui at the Bernabeu but according to Gazetta dello Sport, the 49-year-old would prefer to move to Old Trafford.
The report has indicated that Real president Florentino Perez may look to hand the Portuguese a second spell at the club, which would leave Conte as one of the main contenders to be brought in at Old Trafford.
Mourinho's position at United purportedly remains under threat, but the Portuguese has guided the North-West giants to seven points from their last three fixtures in the Premier League.
