Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo has responded to questions involving Lionel Messi but he was dodgy.
The Barcelona star has been linked with a move to PSG in the summer of 2021.
Messi is free to talk with other clubs in January 2021 as he will be entering the final six months of his contract.
Ahead of the January winter window Leonardo has rejected to talk about the possibility of signing the forward next summer.
“You have to keep the respect; Messi, he is a Barcelona player,” Leonardo said after PSG’s 3-1 win away at Montpellier on Saturday.
“We don’t like it when our players are discussed, so we don’t discuss other team’s players. Now is not the time to think about the transfer market.”
According to several reports, PSG have been leading the race to sign the Argentinian next summer.
Messi was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer, but it has now been suggested that the English giants have decided not to pursue their interest anymore.
