PSG Set To Swoop Guardiola And Xavi As Assistant

PSG Guardiola And Xavi Assistant

Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a sensational swoop for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The French giants are considering the future of current boss Thomas Tuchel, who is under pressure in Paris after falling out with big-name stars including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

And Le 10 Sport are now reporting that PSG chiefs have identified Guardiola as the perfect man to lead the team next season.

Should Guardiola, whose future at the Etihad is uncertain following an underwhelming start to the campaign, make the move, another Barcelona legend, Xaxi, could join him in France as his assistant.

The report also claimed that the decision to try and bring the City Manager does not have the backing of sporting director Leonardo, who prefers hiring former Juventus boss Max Allegri.

Guardiola signed a contract last year keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2021, but reports had suggested that the deal included an option allowing the Spaniard to leave 12 months early.
