Reason Mbappe Rejected Real Madrid Revealed

Reason Mbappe Rejected Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe is expected to make a blockbuster move to Real Madrid anytime soon, but why he rejected them for Paris SG has now been exposed.

The 20-year-old joined the French giants on loan from AS Monaco in 2017 after breaking onto the scene with a Ligue 1 title triumph and a run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Mbappe added a domestic treble and the 2018 FIFA World Cup to his name before joining PSG on a permanent deal worth a reported €145 million-plus €35 million in add-ons.

And Monaco president Vadim Vasilyev has now revealed why he opted to join their domestic rivals instead of a dream move to Real – a club who group up supporting due to his adulation of Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He said ‘Vadim, deep inside me, I feel it is too early’,” Vasilyev told Telefoot.

“‘I have only played for a year in my country, I’m Parisian, I don’t want to leave my country like that.

“I want to become a great player here. Real Madrid will wait, that’s what I think’.”

While Mbappe has since gone onto to score 69 goals and produce 36 assists in 97 games for PSG, Vasilyev, conceded that Mbappe hasn’t changed much – while insisting he’ll eventually end up in Spain.

“He is still the same person,” Vasilyev said. “He has grown, gained influence and notoriety. If he doesn’t play, he feels uncomfortable and even sick.
