Sergio Reguilón’s move to Tottenham is a done deal, which could be made official by Thursday.
Spurs will pay €30 million plus €5 million in variables for the 23-year-old defender who will be committed to the club until 2025.
The deal will include a clause in which Real Madrid will have the option to buy him back for two seasons for 40 million euros, in addition to the right of first refusal should Tottenham look to sell him in the future.
Manchester United and Inter Milan, who were also keen on signing Reguilón, were not willing to accept these clauses, which is why Spurs have won the right to sign the Spanish full back,.
With 38 appearances for Sevilla last season, he played an important role in the club securing Champions qualification and a historic sixth Europa League title.
His next task will be to help Spurs secure a top-four spot in the Premier League after a poor season in 2019/20.
