Arsenal are on the lookout to sign a left-back, a winger and a new midfielder this summer, that’s according to reporter Charles Watts.

The Gunners are likely to be linked with some players in the coming weeks as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad for next season.

However, the club’s officials will also now have one eye on the forthcoming summer transfer window as they are thinking about adding more quality to their squad ahead of next season.

Watts claims that Arsenal are on the lookout for signings in three main positions, including finding a long-term replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey.

“The three areas where Arsenal are prioritising are left-back, a wide attacker and a replacement for Aaron Ramsey,” Watts told Football.London.

“I think they will go back in for Christopher Nkunku at PSG and Ismaila Sarr at Rennes is certainly a winger they are looking at.

“Nicolas Pepe was first choice, but he is now well out of Arsenal’s price range and seems bound for Bayern Munich.

“In terms of left-back, I don’t know who they will sign.

“They like [Kieran] Tierney at Celtic but he will be too expensive.”

The north London side will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Newcastle United at The Emirates on Monday 1 April.
