Manchester United has moved into the top four following a comfortable victory at Fulham on Saturday.
Paul Pogba's brace, along with Anthony Martial's effort, sealed a 3-0 win at Craven Cottage as the Red Devils leapfrogged Chelsea in the table for 24 hours at least.
It was a 10th win in 11 games for interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is in pole position to land the job on a permanent basis.
United were a massive 11 points adrift of the Champions League spots when Jose Mourinho was sacked in December.
However, Solskjaer has transformed their fortunes to knock over that deficit in stunning fashion.
United legend Ferdinand, who played with the Norwegian at Old Trafford, was purring with the win in west London.
Ferdinand wrote: “We got our UNITED BACK”
Ferdinand’s five-word tweet sent United fans into meltdown.
One fan said: “So refreshing to see. Actually enjoy watching my team play again for the first time in 5 years.”
Another replied: “Most definitely and attacking football things can only get better we’re on fire”
“Insane how one simple change can be so decisive,” another added.
