Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he will reveal the Super Eagles' provisional roster for the Africa Cup of Nations as from April 2019.
Rohr noted that there's only one window for international matches prior to next year's AFCON and has stressed the need to begin preparations without more ado.
”We only have one FIFA window in March and I have to give my list in April/May. The first list in May, thirty-five (players) and then the final twenty-three,” the German said.
”So, I want to see the players who I didn't see so much. They have the opportunity to start this preparation and the match tomorrow is the first preparation match for the AFCON.”
Nigeria will take on Uganda in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly at the Stephen Keshi Stadium today (Tuesday), starting from 16:30 hours.
AFCON is scheduled to hold in Cameroon from 15 June to 13 July 2019, with 24 countries participating.
