Gernot Rohr has stated that the Super Eagles has all it takes to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt if the Nigeria Football Federation gives him all the necessary support.
The Super Eagles Technical Adviser said that as much as he believes he has a young team that can win the biennial football showpiece, he would not use it to put needless pressure on the boys.

Speaking further, Rohr said winning the cup in Cairo, the NFF must provide him with all he needs to enable him to deliver the 2019 AFCON trophy as a way to give back the good working relationship so far since his engagement as the head coach of the senior national team.
“My mission with my team is to do well in Egypt by winning the AFCON.
“Nigeria now number 4 in the continent is a good development compare their position before I took over and the team want to go higher with the players who are even younger than the ones I took to the Russia FIFA World Cup last year.
“I want to win the Nations Cup with the Super Eagles but I must avoid putting pressure on the boys. I will encourage and motivate the boys to make them know that they can be best in Africa,” the Super Eagles tactician said.
Rohr also revealed that he will throw his camp open for any player ready to return to the national team but there would not be automatic shirt for any player young or old.
