Head Coach, Gareth Southgate has announced England 23-man Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr and the Nigerian Federation happy as three players of Nigerian descent were not there.
The three players of Nigerian descent that were omitted are Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, Liverpool wonder kid Dominic Solanke, and in-form Everton winger Ademola Lookman will not be displaying their wares in Russia.
Abraham and Solanke have played for the Three Lions in friendly matches, so he is eligible to represent Nigeria, while the uncapped Lookman was snubbed regardless of his dazzling end to the season that saw him directly involved in seven goals in his last five matches for RB Leipzig.
