Chelsea defender, Fikayo Tomori was called up by Gareth Southgate to represent England for the Euro 2020 qualifiers earlier this month but did not feature in any of the two games, and makes him still eligible for Nigeria.
In a recent interview, Tomori revealed that he had to choose England over Nigeria because they were the only country that showed interest in him.
But with him not making his debut yet, there have been rumours that Nigeria may try to persuade him to change his decision.
However, Super Eagles boss, Gernot Rohr has revealed there’s no point in trying to convince Tomori to reconsider his decision as that will send a bad message but wishes him success with England
”He picked where he is comfortable and we wish him the best with England.
“No point thinking we can have him back as it will be dangerous if we allow players view Nigeria as the second option when all fails.
“I think we are bigger than that. I hope he succeeds, Rohr told OwngoalNigeria.
