Rohr To Drop Another Super Eagles Player Against Benin And Lesotho

Moses Simon is likely to be dropped from the Super Eagles list for the AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho later this month.

Genort Rohr has already withdrawn fellow France-based forward Samuel Kalu from Nigeria’s squad after he injured his thigh in a Ligue 1 clash at the weekend.

He has subsequently been replaced by Henry Onyekuru of Galatasaray.

Winger Moses Simon, who delivered all three points for struggling FC Nantes at champions PSG at the weekend with a late winner, missed the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone in November due to injury.

Coronavirus travel restrictions, which will cause him to quarantine for at least seven days after travel outside of Europe, may force relegation-haunted FC Nantes not to release him for the qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
