Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sure does appreciates the personality of former Super Eagles star Odion Ighalo, who has given the Old Trafford dressing room a lift since his loan arrival from Shanghai Shenhua on transfer deadline day.
United have seen the Nigerian impress on the pitch, scoring four goals from eight games while also shining in the 2-0 Premier League win over fierce rivals Manchester City.
According to The Evening Standard, Solskjaer admires Ighalo for his personality, with the striker giving the club’s dressing room a lift since his January arrival.
Solskjaer feels the 30-year-old has had a positive effect on his team-mates and it’s an attribute the Norwegian values highly.
The 47-year-old United boss is keen to have a harmonised dressing room in order to make their climb back to the top of the footballing ladder easier.
Ighalo recently admitted he was living the dream at United.
Opening up on his shock arrival, he recently said: “I never believed it was going to happen because the time difference from China to the UK is crazy and with the coronavirus that is going on in China.
“But dreams do come true. I prayed about it and it happened. When my agent told me about it I was hoping and longing, but I was having doubts in my mind because I was in China.
“It still feels like a dream sometimes. But I don't want to get carried away with too much emotion so that I am able to concentrate on training well and playing well. I know I am playing for the biggest club in the world.”
