Super Eagles 2019 AFCON Squad Get Bonus Pay From NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly confirmed bonus payment for Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Genort Rohr and his men finished the tournament as the third-best team after beating Tunisia 1-0 in the Third-Place match.

After the encounter, the NFF could not pay the bonus of the players.

But now, according to BBC’s Oluwashina Okeleji, who confirmed this announcement via his official Twitter handle, he noted that the NFF has finally paid the players that went to 2019 AFCON their bonus.

Although it’s yet to be confirmed if Rohr and Agu have also received their salaries.

The announcement will certainly charge the player’s morale and approach to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria recently qualified for the 2022 AFCON tournament in Cameroon after topping Group L unbeaten in a group that consists of Benin, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho.
