Super Eagles Camp Opens Today, To Lodge In Eko Hotels

Super Eagles will open camp on Sunday (today) for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

Officials and players are expected to lodge at the Eko Hotels and Suites.

“Eagles camp opens tomorrow (today). Players will be based in Lagos at the Eko Hotels and Suites,” a source in the Eagles camp told Sunday PUNCH.  

The Eagles also tweeted about the camp opening via their Twitter handle on Saturday.      

“Camp opens in one day! Who’s excited? Drop an emoji,” the Eagles tweeted.  

Meanwhile, defender Kenneth Omeruo has joined the list of players who have pulled out of the 24-man squad for AFCON qualifiers and has been replaced by Abia Warriors defender Adeleke Adekunle.

Other players who have withdrawn include Nantes Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu.

Nigeria will play Benin Republic on March 27 in Porto Novo, before hosting Lesotho three days later at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
