According to Sports Extra, Super Eagles defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem were randomly picked by the Confederation of African Football medics for dope tests on Saturday.
The duo played for the entire duration in Nigeria’s 3-2 win over Cameroon in the Round of 16 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.

The two players spent several hours with the CAF medical team before joining their colleagues at the Helnan Palestine Hotel beach resort.
AFCON is not known to record any positive dope test in its previous 31 editions.
Meanwhile, the three-time AFCON winners will arrive Cairo today (Monday) ahead of Wednesday’s AFCON 2019 quarter-final fixture against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, who knocked out hosts Egypt 1-0 to book a place in the quarter-finals.
The Super Eagles will depart Alexandria for Cairo after lunch on Monday.
