Cape Verde, on the other hand, sit third on one point after playing a 1-1 draw against Central Africa Republic (CAR).
Speaking ahead of the game, the German tactician stated that the duo of Malmo’s Bonke Innocent and Bologna’s Kingsley Michael will make the country proud.
“I trust these boys that will play for the first time for the Super Eagles. Cape Verde wants to win because they drew their first game.
“We have been preparing since we are in Lagos, but Cape Verde had more days to recover. It will be a physical challenge, but we will be ready,” he added.
