Super Eagles forward, Aminu Umar will be sidelined for six months after undergoing an anterior cruciate ligament operation on Wednesday.
Umar, who plays for the Turkish club, Rizespor, has made 18 appearances in the league and scored three goals in the league this ongoing season.
The club confirmed his successful surgery on Wednesday via their twitter handle.
The tweets read: #Nigeria's Aminu Umar has been ruled out for up to SIX months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, according to his Turkish club Rizespor.
