Super Eagles To Play Benin as Replacement for Ghana friendly

Super Eagles To Play Benin as Replacement for Ghana friendly

Super Eagles could play Benin Republic in a prep game in June after a proposed friendly with Ghana was cancelled.

There were several reports that Nigeria could play Ghana but that seems unlikely because the Black Stars have already arranged a training camp in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the 2019 AFCON around the same time.

According to brila.net, the other option may be to play fellow 2019 AFCON qualifiers Benin Republic.

As a matter of fact, efforts have already been made to have both teams play in Nigeria.

Should all things work out as planned, the Super Eagles possibly will play the game in Asaba in the first week of June before they head out to Egypt for the AFCON competition.

Nigeria will also battle Senegal in Egypt as part of their build-up for the 2019 AFCON.
