Victor Moses says he is completely devastated at the cruel exit of the Super Eagles from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia on Tuesday.
Argentina won Nigeria 2-1 to book a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.
Moses drew the game level for Nigeria in the 51st minute after Lionel Messi had shot Argentina into the lead.
Marcos Rojo sealed the win for Argentina four minutes from time to hand the Argentines another berth in the round of 16.
“To say I am devastated would be an understatement. The boys gave absolutely everything and I wish it could have led to us going through,” Moses tweeted on Wednesday.
“I am proud to be a part of this team though and I proud to be Nigerian. Thank you to the whole country for the incredible support.”
