Arsenal have been drawn in the Europa League quarter-final against Napoli, a team that is the second best outfit in Serie A with a decent sprinkling of top quality players.
Napoli know they cannot win the Italian league, they will qualify for the Champions League next season and so the Europa League represents their best chance of silverware this season.
There are multiple dangers that the Gunners will have to face and four of such dangers have been highlighted.
The Belgium international has scored an impressive 79 goals in 199 appearances for Napoli and has the ability to find a goal out of nothing, he can switch effortlessly from being a striker to a winger and his versatility makes him one to keep a close eye on.
The Napoli captain has been passed fit and that is not good news for Arsenal, he is very influential, certainly a lot more than the Gunners’ captain has been in recent games, he may not be a prolific goalscorer but he mixes his game up well and is one of the leading players with assists in Serie A.
Callejon has the third highest assists in Serie A this season, just behind teammate Mertens and while he is not clinical in front of the goal, if he is given the slightest opportunity he can turn the game suddenly.
He has three goals less than Ronaldo and is Napoli’s top scorer in Serie A this season. Given half a chance he will take it, he needs to be closely guarded or he will punish Arsenal, that you can be sure of.
There are other dangers; the Gooners midfield and defence will have to be alert for the entire 90 minutes.
