Timo Werner has officially begun work as a Chelsea player, after taking part in his first training session at Cobham today.
The German was in attendance at Stamford Bridge yesterday to see his new team-mates secure a top-four finish in the Premier League courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Wolves.
While his new Chelsea team-mates enjoy a well deserved day off today, Werner checked in at Cobham to take part in his first training session as he builds up his fitness ahead of next season.
The striker undertook plenty of stretching and fitness work before then moving onto ball work, including some dribbling drills and, of course, some finishing work at the end.
Werner will follow the same training programme that fellow new addition, Hakim Ziyech has been following.
Ziyech and Werner cannot be registered to play for the Blues until next season but are both allowed to train at Cobham with Frank Lampard’s squad.
