Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy appear to have made bolstering Spurs defensive options the main priority ahead of the summer window.
According to Danish publication BT, Jose Mourinho’s side hold a strong interest in signing Joachim Andersen.
The Denmark international has spent the season on loan at Fulham, impressing a number of clubs around Europe.
But it's suggested that Lyon – his parent club – don't have Andersen in their plans for next season and are ready to listen to offers.
And Tottenham are seemingly making their move early to try and win the race to sign the 24-year-old.
It is claimed that Andersen's representatives will meet with Tottenham officials next week to discuss a possible transfer.
Reports have previously suggested that Lyon will be looking for an offer in the region of £25million.
But Spurs face heavy competition for Andersen, who is also said to have attracted attention from Chelsea and Manchester United.
