Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to make a move for Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba after the Ligue 1 side refused an opening offer for the 18-year-old from Arsenal.
The centre-back is highly-rated, with the Ligue 1 side demanding €30m for the defender, with a compulsory one-year loan back to the club for next season.

As per L’Equipe, the Gunners have made a €23m bid, with €7m in add-ons.
However, the French club want the complete €30m up front, which is a difficulty for Arsenal with their budget already stretched thin this summer.
And so Tottenham are clearly ready to move for the defender.
They have the needed funds available, and would reportedly have no qualms about the loan aspect of the deal, especially if Toby Alderweireld stays at the club for another term.

The Belgian centre-back has one year more on his contract but can leave this summer for £25m after Tottenham took up their option to extend his deal earlier in the year.
