Super Eagles right-back Tyronne Ebuehi is set to sign for Venezia, that’s according to the club’s sporting director Mattia Collauto.
The 25-year-old is edging closer to a move to the newly-promoted side having held transfer talks with the club’s sporting director and technical director Paolo Poggi.
Should the deal go through, a loan move with a purchase clause inserted into the contract is being mooted.
“We talked to each other,” Collauto said to Italian regional daily newspaper based in Venice. “He is a player we know and have been following for some time, we are doing the evaluations.”
The Benfica defender spent the whole of last season on loan at Twente, netting one goal in 33 appearances in the Eredivisie and was cautioned only once in 2,841 minutes of action.
