Uganda head coach Desabre Names Squad For AFCON Qualifier Against Cape Verde

Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has named his final squad that will face Cape Verde in a crucial Group L qualifying game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Desabre’s team need only one point to qualify for the 2019 AFCON and will host the Cape Verde team on November 17 at the Uganda National Stadium, Namboole.

The Uganda Cranes lead Group L of the qualifiers with 10 points, while Tanzania are second on five points, and Cape Verde have four points and Lesotho bottom with two points.

Uganda is yet to concede a goal in the four matches they have played in the qualifiers.

Assistant captain Hassan Wasswa Mawanda called upon the Ugandan fans to come in large numbers on Saturday to cheer the team so that they qualify.
