Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has emerged Nigeria’s joint most valuable footballer and the second most valuable striker in the Serie A, according to Transfermarkt.
Experiencing a €10 million increase from his value earlier in the year, now at 60 million euros, the Nigerian forward is Italian Serie A’s joint-sixth and the world’s 49th most valuable player overall.
No Nigerian player is worth more than Osimhen, with Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also valued at €60 million.
Only Inter Milan duo of Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella, Juventus stars Matthijs de Ligt and Federico Chiesa, and Lazio ace Sergej Milinković-Savić are priced higher than the former Lille man in the Italian top-flight.
And all six stars made the Transfermarkt’s most valuable eleven, with Osimhen set up front alongside Martinez in a formidable lineup that also has AC Milan trio of goalkeeper Maignan and full-backs Hernandez and Calabria.
