Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been videoed pleading with Iran supporters to let him sleep on the eve of the World Cup face-off between the two teams.
The Real Madrid superstar, who heads into Monday evening's Group B game with four goals in two matches under his belt, was kept awake at the Selecao's Saransk base until the early hours of this morning.
Iran fans blew horns and banged drums right outside the hotel, forcing Ronaldo to take matters into his own hands by appearing at his window and motioning for those below to be silent.
Portugal and Spain occupy the qualification berths at the top of Group B, but Iran can still progress to knock out stages as they are just a point worse off.
