Ronald Koeman had a private chat with Lionel Messi after performing a U-turn on his transfer request to return to Barcelona.
And the Dutchman has looked to build bridges between himself and the six-time Ballon d'Or winner as he returned to training.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Koeman told the Barca talisman that he was over the moon he was staying.
However, he also warned the Argentine he was only interested in players that were fully committed to Barcelona.
Mundo Deportivo also go on to state that Messi pushed himself in training as he wanted to lead by example.

Messi told the former Holland boss he was only interested in bringing back the good times at the Nou Camp.
Koeman has also insisted he did not want to give special treatment to players as he looks to break the player-power mould at the Catalonian club .
The Argentina international trained alone on Monday, as did Philippe Coutinho, as they build their fitness ahead of the start of the La Liga season.
