Akeem Latifu in an exclusive interview with ScoreNigeria.com.ng revealed how he turned down big-money offers from Kuwait and Malta to remain in Norway, saying he still hopes to return to the Super Eagles and play in a bigger league and club.
The former Aalesund right back inked a two-year deal with Mjøndalen at the weekend to remain in mainstream Europe.
“My dream has always been to play for the Super Eagles and I was delighted I got the chance some time ago,” Latifu told SCORENigeria
“Mjøndalen are an ambitious club and I also wish to play at a bigger league and a bigger club.
“I still have the spirit and zeal to play for Nigeria and that’s why I decided to remain in Norway and rejected huge money offers from Kuwait and Malta.”
