Tottenham have brought back Gareth Bale seven years after as the Wales international was officially confirmed on Saturday after agreeing to a season-long loan from Real Madrid.
But an intriguing clause in Bale's contract at Spurs has emerged after his arrival.
Thus there could be cause for more glee with a clause meaning he could stay even longer than the one season.
Football London is reporting that Jose Mourinho’s side will have the option to extend the loan by another year.
However, that is only if the move is a success and all parties agree to it.
If that does go through, the Welshman will come to the end of his contract at the Bernabeu and would most likely leave as a free agent.
The north London club are also picking up less than his wages, with Real Madrid agreeing to pay 60 per cent of his huge wage packet.

However, the 31-year-old will not make his debut until next month at the earliest with an injury ruling him out for four weeks.
