The Copper Queens of Zambia squared off with the Japan women's team in a Group C match at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The encounter took place at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, on Saturday.

Zambia were making their World Cup debut and ranked as the tournament's lowest team.

The Copper Queens had defeated Germany, the second ranked team in the world, 3-2 in a warm-up match earlier this month, and held Switzerland to a draw a couple of weeks earlier.

And as the match ended, lots of reactions from fans, pundits, and enthusiasts from Zambia and across Africa shared their thoughts on the game.
