FPL price reveals cause excitement ahead of new season
Every match, managers line up the best team that they believe will fight for and deliver results at the end of 90 minutes plus added time. Fans get to have conversations over these lineups, but that is all it will ever be.
The Fantasy Football system allows fans to be in a manager’s shoes every game week by competing against each other and selecting players (from several teams in a league) who they believe will deliver results.
The official Fantasy Premier League website describes the FPL as, “a game that casts you in the role of a Fantasy manager of Premier League players.”
FPL price changes are announced at the beginning of a new season. The website explains this as well.
“Prices are given to players based on the number of FPL points they are projected to deliver and you are limited to a budget of £100 million for your 15-man squad,” the description reads.

FPL price changes for Nigerian Premier League players
A number of Nigeria national football team players will compete in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Most notable among them is Nottingham Forest man Taiwo Awoniyi, who will be playing alongside national teammates Emmanuel Dennis and Ola Aina.
There are also a number of players of Nigerian descent who will hope that the new season helps them break into the Super Eagles team or the national teams of their choosing.

The FPL price changes do not always affect all players (as explained above), but Awoniyi is one of the many whose price has gone up because of his performances last season.
Taiwo Awoniyi FPL price changes
Awoniyi is Nottingham Forest’s club record signing. In his first season, he lived up to the billing by winning their Player of the Year thanks to a late-season flurry of incredible performances which helped the Tricky Trees stay in the Premier League for another year.
This has now seen him become the highest-priced Nigerian player in FPL history. Like other Premier League players, he will get the opportunity to increase his FPL valuation as the season progresses.
He will have to put in good performances, however, or he will be hit with a negative FPL price change.
Awoniyi is also a good option for a wildcard FPL pick, and his price will make him affordable for managers who have their sights set on the big guns like Erling Haaland (£14 million), Harry Kane (£12.5 million) and Mohammed Salah (£12.5 million).
