Former Super Eagles forward Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins has refuted claims that he rejected a move to Saudi Arabia football club because of lack of night Club.
The former Newcastle United forward, who is seeking for a fresh challenge after ending ties with Chinese super league side Shanghai Shenhua, was said to have pulled out of a deal worth $1.5 million with a Saudi Arabian side on the ground that the oil-rich country does not have a top night club.
Martins has now denied the reports and claimed he never spoke to Journalists about an offer from Saudi Arabia.
“How on earth will I even reject an offer because of the absence of night clubs in a place? Fortunately, there is no even a deal for me in Saudi Arabia that I will reject,” Martins explained.
“It is rather so unfortunate, the people behind this report supposed to get their findings right.”
“I am an open person and friendly to any journalist who wants to know anything about me.
