Super Eagles stars Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella are on the cusp of joining a list of Nigerians who have won league titles in Europe.
The duo have contributed immensely to the success of Bayer Leverkusen this season, as the Bundesliga side is on the verge of making history.
Still unbeaten this season, Leverkusen will win their first Bundesliga title ahead of perennial winners – Bayern Munich.
Several Nigerians have succeeded during their stay in Europe by winning league titles.
Who are the Super Eagles stars with the most European League titles? Our foray in this piece will centre around the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eredivisie and the Belgian Jupiler League.
The first Super Eagles star to win a European League title
Hundreds of Nigerians have and still ply their trade in European leagues. Once upon a time, it was almost unthinkable that a Nigerian would leave the shores of Nigeria and become a household name in Europe.
Discounting Nigerians who were born in Europe, the title of first Nigerian to leave the shores of Nigeria for Europe is credited to Stephen Keshi.
The ‘Big Boss’ also became the first Nigerian to win a European league title.
The former Super Eagles captain and coach helped Anderlecht win the Belgium Jupiler in the 1990/91 season.

Babayaro moved to Chelsea in 1997, where he spent eight years, winning the English Premier League in the final year.

Victor Moses (Chelsea) – 2 titles
Victor Moses has been around England, playing for Crystal Palace, Wigan Athletic, Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham, but it was at Chelsea he had his most success.
