Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says the club have no plans to try to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappé.
Now Real can cross one club off their list of potential competitors for Mbappé’s signature.
“I love Mbappé and the way he plays, but we’ll never get him to come to Bayern,” Rummenigge told an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro this week.
“In any case, he’s fine where he is. [PSG president] Nasser Al Khelaifi is a good friend of mine. I’m not going to bother him with this issue.”
Mbappé, who is a priority transfer target for Madrid, is yet to make a decision on his future as he stalls on signing a new deal at Ligue 1 titleholders PSG, where he is under contract until June 2022.
Madrid have been laying the groundwork for a swoop for the 21-year-old, looking to boost their war chest ahead of a mooted 2021 deal by spending nothing on signings in the summer and, at the same time, banking over 100 million euros from outgoing transfers.

Los Blancos, who see the purchase of Mbappé as a key element of their plans for the future, are also expected to seek further sales to help them afford a club-record move for the France international, in the face of the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on their finances.
