Alex Iwobi has struggled to make impact at Everton following his big money from Arsenal last summer and Darren Bent wants The Toffees to bring in Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha as a replacement.
The Super Eagles star scored twice and recorded one assist in 25 appearances for Carlo Ancelottiâ side last season.
Bent described the Nigeria international as ineffective and believes Zaha would add more to the Everton team.
âI think heâs definitely a signing that they need. Whether he takes them to the next level Iâm not quite sure yet. His stats last season would suggest probably not, they werenât great,â Bent told Football Insider when asked of Zaha.
âI mean four assists and five goals for someone of his quality isnât great and it doesnât really inspire you with confidence where you start thinking: âWeâve got him, weâve got the guy thatâs going to drag this team to the verge of Champions League football.â
âHeâs definitely a signing that they need because they need people with quality. For me, Alex Iwobi doesnât do it for me.
âHis end productâs not good enough, he doesnât score enough goals, doesnât create enough goals so heâs not really doing anything.

âFor me, if Zaha can get himself down there and play on the left-hand side with Richarlison, [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin, [Andre] Gomes, I really like what theyâre doing down there. If Iâm Everton, I go for that one 100 per cent.â
