Napoli have been ranked by football stats and data collection organisation Transfermarkt as the 12th most valuable team in the world despite having €200 million man Victor Osimhen.
The Nigeria national football team ace is the most valuable player the Partenopei has the privilege to field and is also the most valuable striker in the Serie A.
Napoli's asking price for his transfer is €200 million and bids as high as €100 million have been rejected. President Aurelio De Laurentiis' business, however, is not enough for the 2022/23 Scudetto champions to make the top 10 most valuable teams.

World's most valuable teams – Napoli ranked highest from Italy
While having Victor Osimhen was not enough to see Napoli break into the top 10, it saw them rank the highest among teams from Italy.
Their earnings from their successful Serie A season and player values factored into Transfermarkt's valuation of the club as they finally surpassed the big boys from Milan and the Old Lady, Juventus, as the most valuable team from Italy.
Directly above them in ranking is the newly-funded Newcastle United of the Premier League. The Magpies are now under the ownership of a conglomerate backed by the Saudi Petroleum Investment Fund (PIF), a Saudi state organisation that ventures into private businesses.
In the top ten are the usual suspects: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Osimhen makes Napoli demand ahead of new season
Napoli are basking in their new found status thanks to Victor Osimhen's influence and the efforts of the rest of the team.
Each of the club's players have helped the Partenopei rise in the rankings. However, their futures are not set in stone thanks to the dynamic nature of football.
Osimhen's new demands could see their current ranking shift ground by the end of the 2023/24 season. This is because the striker has given a condition to remain at the club beyond this summer.
The condition is for a £104 million (€120 million) release clause to be inserted into his new contract. This is less than what President De Laurentiis is asking clubs for the striker.
A stalemate in discussions could see Osimhen leave and drop their value, while successful negotiations could see them break into the top 10, which would be another feat of history for the 2022/23 Scudetto winners.
Sky Italia reports that Roberto Calenda and the club's bosses are in negotiations over these terms. More news will be broken here on Goalball Live as it happens.
