Samuel Kalu has emerged as a major doubt for the Super Eagles 2021 AFCON qualifiers after going off injured in Bordeauxâs 3-1 win at Dijon on Sunday.
His French club confirmed Kaluâs injury in a Tweet on their verified Twitter handle during the game.
The Nigerian was replaced just 16 minutes of the game by Nicolas de Preville.
Kalu was included in Super Eaglesâ 24-man squad for the qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho this month.
And now – with the injury level not yet ascertained – Genort Rohr may be contemplating dropping him for another player.
Prior to Sundayâs win, Bordeaux had lost seven and drawn one of their last eight games.
