The AFCON 2024 is just around the corner, and millions of fans across the continent are brimming with excitement ahead of Africa's biggest football competition. That said, Nigeria's Super Eagles are currently in the United Arab Emirates for their training camp, and they've lined up a couple of friendly matches ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

We would like to point out that Jose Peseiro's men will square off against Guinea on Monday 8th January. Both teams have qualified for the tournament which kicks off next week, and will hope to get some momentum going. The last time Guinea and Nigeria's Super Eagles clashed was in June 2019, at the AFCON. The Super Eagles came out on top by a lone goal.

It may also interest you to know that Peseiro's men will play a test match before Monday's clash with the Syli National of Guinea; they'll face a local Dubai club. At the time of publishing, the identity of said club is yet to be announced. However, it is understood that Nottingham Forest's Ola Aina and FC Porto's Zaidu Sanusi will be amongst the starters.

Other rumoured starters on Sunday include Frank Onyeka, Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Chidozie Awaziem, as well as Sadiq Umar.

What time will the Super Eagles' AFCON 2024 warm up matches be played?

The Super Eagles' first friendly will kick-off by 16:00 local time, which is 1 pm in Nigeria. They'll proceed to play against the Syli National on Monday, kick-off time is 4 pm Nigerian time.

Where to watch Super Eagles' AFCON 2024 warm up matches

Millions of fans across the country were not very pleased when it was revealed that the media giants SuperSport will not broadcast the Africa Cup of Nations this year. That said, there are currently no live streaming options for this match. However, we'll update this page when we have more information.
