Following Real Madrid's 4-2 victory over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, a Chelsea legend has urged the Spanish giants to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
The former Wolfsburg star had limited playing time against Madrid a couple of days ago; as he came on as a substitute in the second half. Osimhen has continued to shine for Napoli, and some of the top teams in Europe have shown interest in signing him.
With that in mind, former Chelsea player Gianfranco Zola has suggested that Real Madrid should prioritize Osimhen, instead of PSG star Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos have been keeping tabs on the French player for a few years, and it is believed they'll make a bid for him in the January transfer window.

It may interest you to know that Zola was part of Napoli's squad that won the 1989/90 Serie A title. He also played 229 games for Chelsea, scoring 59 times. Interestingly, the 57 year old represented the Italian national team 35 times, scoring 10 goals.
According to Zola, Madrid needs a pure number 9 like Osimhen, while Mbappe typically plays as a winger. Furthermore, Los Blancos already have wingers like Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo.
It's important to point out that Real Madrid have struggled to find a suitable replacement for Karim Benzema. As a matter of fact, their top scorer across all competitions this season is Jude Bellingham, a midfielder.
The addition of a striker like Osimhen could be exactly what Los Blancos need at the moment. As it stands, the Super Eagles player leads the team with six Serie A goals this season. He was also the top-scorer in the Serie A last season, as he fired the Partenopei to their first title in over two decades. It's also believed that Zola's former club Chelsea will pursue Osimhen in January.
